That puts it in the capacity range best suited for loading docks, manufacturing with oversized pallets, and cross-docking operations. Keep in mind that real-world working capacity drops below the nameplate when lifting above standard mast height, handling off-center loads, or running attachments like sideshifters or fork positioners — plan on the derated capacity from the manufacturer load chart for your actual use.

Diesel is well-suited for heavy outdoor applications — lumber yards, steel, construction sites, and port operations.

Advantages: highest torque and pulling power of any forklift power type, rugged drivetrain suited to harsh environments, unlimited runtime between fuel stops.

Tradeoffs: not suitable for indoor use without extensive ventilation, higher emissions compliance burden (Tier 4 Final in North America), higher noise.
